The original and enduring natural qualities of Coolum Beach are constant and timeless. The Coolum Beach Streetscaping project speaks to this philosophy as an indirect expression of textures and forms in a fluid and tactile three-dimensional, 12 metre long timber surface. The use of timber as a public art piece is a brave and visionary move, with the project’s three-dimensional approach highlighting the natural grain of the timber. The Coolum Beach Streetscaping project commands attention with a strong daytime and night time presence.
